I believe I just snared a factory original, unfired 1952 Tula that had been sitting in a private collector's safe for the past few decades or so.  I will be receiving additional pics from the seller a little later this evening or tomorrow.

I will fire up the macro lens and take some decent pics when I receive it...dancin' on cloud nine right now!!!  dance2

BTW, since the sticky was still open, I have started jotting down some notes about how to recognize the Ruski SKSs if this is still needed. :)

Very good. Like '54s, '52s are often found in as-issued condition for whatever reason.

Any of the FAQ/Howtos that are blank still need to be created. If you or anyone have aome ideas on any of them, I'd be glad to hear them!

Wonder why GMs gun keeps coming up short.    fart1

think1 My Tulas are anything but short  bat1 .. they are all about 48 to 52 inches long or 1 RM high when on end :)
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

Lol....   posted in wrong thread.   I'm  only human!!

I'm feeling sick!!  I just picked up this gun from my LGS and the seller sent me the wrong carbine.  Instead of an as issued boxed 1952 Tula, I got a refurbished boxed 1954 Tula.....   >:(

I hope the seller still has the gun I paid the big bucks for so we can make a trade or something.  I sent him a message and am waiting to hear back.

The 98K Yugo refurb looks great though, so there is a silver lining...  thumb1

I know--I am assuming it was just an honest mistake, but I did pay a hefty price for it being as issued with the original box.  He's probably feeling just as badly as I am right now.

Keep your fingers crossed that the '52 Tu;a was not sent off to someone else..... dead2

Could be an honest mistake, could be a bait and switch.  Bummer, looked like a nice carbine. Somebody's out some hefty shipping dollars. :(

His mistake...  he needs to fix it or neg feedback.   bat1

It's a shame that it's about all that can be done, if it was intentional. What kind of feedback did the seller have going into this transaction?

montigre

Right now I am not rushing into suppositions and am extending him the benefit of doubt and allowing him time to make the situation right.  :)

However, if I discover this was an intentional act of fraud, I have no qualms whatsoever of calling down the big bird to stretch out her wings and make his life miserable... 8)

WoW Good luck . Have you talked to the seller to resolve the above for your sanity.

Yes, did that this morning while at archery range--all is now good; as issued SKS is being shipped out today.  thumb1

Thanks, everyone for your support and for letting me vent a little to keep my nerves in check.

He's big, yellow, and sees hairy earless elephants that others can't.  There's one in particular that he calls "Snuffy".  rofl

In all seriousness, it's good to see you're getting this sorted out, montigre.

Loose}{Cannon

You call that a vent?    :))

Have you seen GMs posts?   :o
