Factory Original Tula

I just got home from picking up this KBI imported, 1952 as issued Tula Ruski, and she is by far the best looking SKS I have ever seen.  The wood is a very deep Russian red arctic birch with just a single small gouge from packing, but no flaking on it.  The metal is a rich blue/black without any mars and the bore is so bright, it is like looking into a prismatic crystal.  Arsenal proof marks are deep and correct, all exterior parts are stamped with matching numbers.

After seeing the condition of this little carbine, the bite of its cost to bring it home stings a lot less....

Thanks, I am very happy with this acquisition.  I'm really not sure where in the production run it sits.  I do know it was imported in 1987 and purchased by the seller's father along with 4 others at that time.  The seller kept 2 for himself and sold the other 3.  I believe this was the only as issues one that was offered.

Very nice 52  Glad to see it all worked out for you.. Dont feel bad about not shooting it and filling it with holes. That would defiantly decrease the value  Matter in fact, and all serious.. I dont shoot any of my Russians.. Except pictures .. You got a really nice rifle there montigre..
