I didnt think that bayonet was standard issue but a refurb item.

Loose}{Cannon

The yellow?   I don't think anyone has definitively answered the yellow vs non vs polished conundrum.

Yeah I've seen lots of conflicting statements on the web over that bayonet color issue, we'll probably never know for sure.

Loose}{Cannon

How does anyone know they were not the black version and converted later?  The 49 spikes are blued.   whistle12

I think those blued spikes are cool!

The starting price should make every non-referb Izzy owner happy  :o

The starting bid don't mean squat if nobody bids lol.

Loose}{Cannon

They will, but it may not reach reserve

This gun has been around since at least the May GB report.  I've weeded it out of completed listings (bid on but reserve not met) at least once before...

$2500 BIN is a total pipe dream.  Not for this year gun in this condition....
Heck, $1000 might even be a pipe dream, things aren't that bad in the SKS45 market (yet). silly1

Loose}{Cannon

Yup.. With a bin that high, his reserve is likely not far behind it.

It makes me laugh sometimes... I've seen listings that have updates to the descriptions (where it shows the date the description was updated) that go back to 2014. Some of these guns have been on there that long, and yet people just don't get their guns aren't worth what they are asking.

Loose}{Cannon

That reminds me....  I wanna put up the non import Iraqi with a BIN around 12k, reserve at 11k, and do some fishing.   rofl

What?   Its a good way to find out what its actually worth by observing the high bits each time it closes.    :P

To most collectors, "refurb" means "Oh no" to me "refurb" means corrected and / or updated. I adore the Russian refurbs black bolt = no glare, BBQ paint = no rust, excessive shellac = sealed, grey rear sight = easier on the eyes.  :P

$2500???? = 143043.49 rubles!   I love to see folks dream.  Would seem to be maybe one or so out there that could get that price.

I believe 5 years ago 600.00 was a dream. I also remember 5-6 years ago not even some gun stores new what they had when selling these things. That's all changed now and the Russian SkS has finally reached Hall of Fame status when it comes to Milsurp collecting. Some might disagree but I dont even shoot ANY of my Russians anymore. Besplode

A nice non-refurb '54 Izhevsk just got snapped up for $1150 6' after he finally posted a purchase price (he was looking for trades) on The Trader at Gunboards.
