obviously the seller is smart enough this time to not show detachable magazines (as he posted a few months ago)

I wouldn't pay $901 for that, which was the high bid last time and didn't even hit reserve. That seller needs to get real or he will be waiting a very long time for a sucker who is desperate to have an Izzy right this minute in any condition at any cost.
It's sad that the motto of young Americans isn't "live free or die" or "I regret that I have but one life to give for my country" or even "ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country". Instead their motto is "pee yourself, shelter in place and cry for help". Pathetic.

Ha ha ha Ive never sold on GB but is there an insertion fee for every time you post up or only if it sales ?

I kinda got mixed emotions on this one because its really not pretty enough for collector safe queen status but its not a referb either.. So 900.00 i believe is a more then fair price for that seller IMO.

it was not taken good care of. One strange thing about this carbine is the plum color barrel. The seller told me it's because the barrel material was similar to that used on Finn plum barrel M39's, which I didn't buy. I guess it may be due to overheat caused by shooting.

I have a couple Yugo M57 Toks that have that tint of plum color to them. I thought it was from maybe being soaked in cosmoline for years or something.

From GB:
"We charge no 'insertion' fees. There are two types of fees that may be incurred when you list or sell items on GunBroker.com. We charge a Final Value Fee that is assessed only if your item ends with a winning bidder or is purchased using the BuyNow! function. We offer Optional Services which can be used to enhance the listing and must be paid for whether or not the item is sold. If you choose to use any of our Optional Services and the item does not sell, it can be relisted free of charge using the same options."

Yeah, $900 is not outrageous but it's more than I would pay for it for all of the reasons you mention. It's in no man's land. Too rare and valuable to abuse but far too beat up to be a safe queen. So in my mind it's a shooter that happens to be a bit rare. I'm not spending $900 on any shooter SKS. If I was looking for an as-issued Izzy for a collection I'd spend a few hundred more and get a nice one.

Bluing color is subject to the bluing salts and the mixture used, temperature, and length of time submerged in the solution.   Dont be surprised seeing color variances from one part/gun to the next.

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.
