    Another SKS junkie checking in. I like your informative site. I love original, unaltered rifles. I have 6 Chinese, 1 of which is a Navy Arms Sharpshooter, and 1 Yugo M59/66A1. I also have a 3 Yugo AKMs.

     I am also a lifelong MoPar junkie. I own a 1970 Dodge Dart Swinger. It is my first car, I've owned it since 1995. It's a numbers matching 340 4 speed car, but it's currently getting a 440 automatic, Dana 60 transplant. My car is a 70's street racer, and that's how I'm keeping it.

Yes, I did purchase it from Weldon Thomas. I don't recall the whole serial #, but it is 11 million. Are you Weldon? Your pictures look like the ones I saw when I bought my gun.

Weldon is my father (Slumbering Bear) here on the Files.   I took the pictures for him when I was at his house in PA.  Darn fine rifle.....  glad to have you aboard the Files.

What a small world. I was looking at pictures on your posts, and I thought they looked like the same layouts of the pics of my gun. I just figured it was a coincidence. Your dad is a cool guy. I like his Challenger. I really like the rifle. Too bad I've been too busy to shoot it yet. This is a great site you started.

Thanks. I'll have to get some pictures, and figure out how to post them. My dad was drag racing big block MoPars since the early seventies, so I've been around them my whole life.

Welcome 440, I am also fond of big block mopars, but my racing with them is a bit different than yours...

I've built dozens of Mopars, but these are the only ones I have pictures online of. Mildly built 383/727 and 400/727 have been the heart of all of them.

Seriously most are pretty harmless around here, and it's a good place to learn something about these rifles.  Some of these guys are off the charts gun nerds.  jd
