I'm posting this here instead of the Auction forum since the auction has already ended. This is a 21st year 21 million SN Paratrooper that just sold on GB for $999 + $75 shipping + tax, transfer, and fees so, probably about $1200 total. The highest I have ever seen a regular paratrooper sell for.
The catch is this one is mint, all matching numbers and in a pristine Chinese laminated stock. Gorgeous looking Para, but too much for my pockets.

My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

It's the Chinese laminated stock that drove the price on that one. Unnumbered and almost certainly not original to that carbine. They are not easy to find so I guess the buyer jumped at the chance even though it's not necessarily an as issued specimen.  dntknw1

It's purdy but $pendy. The Paras aren't generally fetching the money they once commanded these days, PAX

I sold 2 restores recently, 1 at $700 w/o chest rig and the other at $750 w/chest rig. Market is all over the place, just have to be in the right place at the right time. My 3rd one has been sitting for almost 2 months now. The funny/odd thing is this 3rd one is the nicest of the three.  dntknw1

That's a nice looking para but I agree that it's a lot more than I'd shell out.

A seller with 14K transactions definitely markets to a bigger audience than an individual hobbyist seller, and has a better chance of luring in the "deep pockets" or "must have" buyers.

I've got 2 excellent numbers matching Paras, one blade and one spiker with a French Tickler HG, listed as a package for over a year. My Idaho bud said he'd take them both when he got back from Antarctica, but lagged, which doesn't bother me. I have some evil doings in the works (Alby stocked Para). I did move 2 Chinese letter guns'57 & '61, a '70 Alby and a '51 Tula light refurb, all for good bank though. The guns I list for what I believe they should fetch here in Kali and sit on them if need be. PAX
