Anyone have an M59/66 who would be willing to measure the length of the blade bayonet cut out excluding the lower ferrule cut away portion? TIA

I'm out of town at the moment but will measure one this evening when I get home Alan. You trying to recreate a yugo cut on a replacement stock?

A guy on another got me taken care of RM, thanks. No on the replication. I was just curious on a Paratrooper build, if one were to use an M59/66 stock, if a full length blade bayonet would work. I was given a measurement of 5.76" which means one would still have to cut and grind off about 1.25" to make it work. Don't know if it would be worth it, but that is quite a bit less than what is usually the case for a blade bayo Para.

I only thought of this because I have been restoring 3 paratrooper SKSs and it came to mind. :o  :)

I once put a longer Yugo blade on a rifle in a black TAPCO T5, there cut long enough to fit Para blades It had a T9 HG with a Reddot, was mismatched and fugly but C&R by serial. It went a 4-gun bundle (3 Chinamen & an Alby), to a fella that picked up 4 C&R SKS rifles, I put it in a cracked stock for compliance. He was happy I was happier. PAX
