Glad to have found this forum!  Thanks for having me.

I am a sks fan and a small collector.  Not too many, if that is possible!
My current collection:
Chinese Triangle 636   (1977?)  all matching.
Yugo m59/66 A1   (1968)  ep'ed carrier, remainder is matching. Is ep'ed carrier common?
Russian BBQ'ed   (1951)  all matching.
Romanian   (1959)  non-match mag & stock, remainder is matching.
Albanian   (1978)  replacement stock with the "nail" hole, remainder is matching.

I would like to upgrade my non-matchings to all matchings and always looking to find better examples of each for the collection.  Also interested in the sks-d and para with blade.  I will post pics when I find out how.  Photobucket?

Hi John, welcome to the boards!

You have a great collection there, looks very much like mine with at least one of each of the common flavors.  thumb1  It's very common for Yugos to have EP'd numbers or no numbers at all.

Photobucket is indeed the most common way to post photos though Imagur, tumblr, Image Shack, Tiny pic etc. are just as good if not better with fewer advertisements.

The instructions for photos posting are here: How to post photos - Board Information - SKS-FILES FORUM - Page 1 of 1

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Here is the pic of the small collection.  My surplus collection also includes a mo mosin, a romanian m44 in nice shape, a 1939 walnut k31 and a 1957 beech k31.  A while back I was into "black" guns, then I was a Bubba  ??? for few months.  Now I really prefer old wood and blued steel!  As far as my Bubba time, I don't look back.  Bubba time got me to the sks and actually built my love of the rifle as it is, in its original condition.  I have even saved some ninja stock Bubbas.  I still have one "Bubba save" in my collection.  Do you see it?  Is this a sickness???

Very nice John!  I dig the Alby.  There's nothing like a clean looking Alby, even with the replacement stock.

If you had to pick one and only one as your favorite, which one would it be?

Running-Man,

I love them all.  I really like the Albanian and Yugo for their characteristic look, the Russian (because it is Russian), the Chinese because it is so clean and smooth, and the Romanian because, despite living in a Chinese stock (for now) it seems very well made.
To pick one...I have used the Chinese the most...does that make it my favorite?

Very nice set indeed John, I understand why it would be so hard to pick a favorite among them!
