1949 and 1950 hand etched markings up close

got a borescope recently and was looking at the dust covers I have and figured I'd share what I saw. its difficult to get good focus with it but ill isolate some pictures in a sec.

Looks like a lot of small strikes went into making a complete marking  :o I suppose they had a surplus of soldiers to employ after the Great Patriotic War  rofl

Right? I mean all those man hours for a dust cover? I’d hate to have been the guy doing that for the first whole year of production
