Bubba likes it rare

Gunbroker browsing is not conducive to maintaining a healthy bank account. This one came from a low feedback seller, which had me worried a bit but I did get the rifle. Bubba lightly sanded and refinished the stock, which is quite unfortunate, but at about a grand I thought it was still worth it.

That's a nice pickup CZ!  I only have one other '53 Izhevsk ВИ prefixed gun in my files and it is in about the same (maybe slightly better wood) condition than yours:

Yes, those are definitely are more struck than the other, but the new finish is still over them.

Part of me also wondered if it was not Bubba but rather light refurb given the chamber "in the black", but I just assumed the worst case scenario
