Really good shape,

I got this one a few months ago for loads cheaper then what one of the vendors would ask for it. It pays to stalk the gun auctions for a deal. It has a butt stock repair on the left side but other than that the bores excellent, woods dark but excellent condition and so is the bluing. A plus was that it came with a sling and the  cleaning rod that is often missing.

Nice one!

M24/47s are definitely at or near the very bottom of the Mauser snobs spectrum...they simply command zero respect it seems.  dntknw1

That's not necessarily a bad thing though: it translates to typically getting screaming deals on them!  thumb1

I love mine, it's a downright tack driver when I do my part.  Third gun I ever bought and the second logged in my C&R bound book (way back in 2002).  geezer1

Then they must be idiots because they are a quality rifle and often seen in very decent condition. Thats good for us though, cheaper. :))

Way..... way back in my early collecting days... I found a M24/47 at a show, little did I know it was the evil.... Mitchel Mauser.. but oh well, it shoots as good as it looks.

I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

They are good mausers, he just lied about what they were and where they came from and they were not worth what he asked for them. The one thing that always irked me were the silver bolts on KAR 98's, lol. They used to advertise them as genuine nazi rifles sometimes and they even applied fake markings on tons of the rifles and ruined a lot of historic firearms in the process. That said it did not hurt the shooting factor. I would own one, but like you. We are all to familiar of his BS ads in many magazines over the years.

Very nice! The Yugoslavian Mausers have never fetched the premium that German Mausers do, but they are very well made, and/or updated/refurbished like all of the M24/47s. FN actively worked with the Yugoslavians to set up their native production line to make the FN intermediate length receiver (Model 1924) in Yugoslavia, so they are definitely very high quality.

I picked up my M24/47 in Kittitas about 8 years ago.
