Picked this 1951 up in 2022. Fortunate in that the previous owner kept the original parts. Stock has some wear but a good piece for the collection. Especially with the serial matching the year I acquired it in.

My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

Nice honest '51 Russian SKS45 there.  Definitely a good save in getting it mated back up with the originally imported stock and handguard.  thumb1

Nice that you were able to put it back to it's original state.

Just that the numbers on the stock seems large even if it is a refurbished stock on your SKS. I will let more experience members to determine if they believe the numbers stamped on the butt stock was done at the arsenal when it was refurbished or by the importer? Hope you have the cleaning rod which seems missing on your reassemble SKS.

Overall very nice 1951 SKS, congrats.
