Long Barrel 051 Finally Made It!

As noted in the Auction section, it took a bit to arrive (USPS issues), but all's well that ends well. This one had been held by Southern Ohio Gun for a bit and recently surfaced. Note the odd marking on the top of the bolt carrier; has anyone seen this before? It also has one of the (early?) dual-threaded cleaning rods, sort of like WWII K98K rods. Enjoy!

I don’t recall seeing that marking on the bolt carrier and right side of the bolt before, but I suspect that it’s a variation on the “T” Yugoslavian firing proof.

My CAI Yugo does not have the bolt stamp but does have strange trench art , yours is in great shape and your pics are fantastic 🫡

051. Damn Dude !! That thing is Georgous !! Ive never seen a m59 bolt stamped serial number nor the back of the receiver. Maybe the long bbls all have it idk but thats the first time ive seen these serialized stamps where you have them. Thats a Sweet Gem you have there. The wood is simply amazing with that darker oily shine look. Nice.. Very Nice ! Great picture package. You did it right !!

The bolts are all machine engraved as you can see the individual tool dwell swirls in this close-up.  (Relatively nicely done at that.)


They all also have the S/N stamped at the rear of the receiver.  Very distinct feature there:

Yes sir RM. Those Tiger stripe cosmoline embeded M59 LBs are something special. Those Yugos remind me of the guys that fetch those logs that have been soaking under water for decades. Same as the wooden Yugoslavian SkS stock thats been soaking in cosmoline for the past 50 years. You can emuliate but never duplicate the beauty of that look.   M59s are the Shi* !!

We have tracked examples up to #92 though oddball C36439, C44140, & 50456 are also known to exist.  Highly likely that less than 100 were imported in the US.

Of course, I kid you about the photos. I actually appreciate a photo spread like that, very nice.
