Recently stumbled across this while looking for a rimfire target rifle , I am posting this under military because it’s marked U.S.Property . Also stamped AFPG possibly Air Force target rifle , my guess would be 1960’s ??
Nice Olympic sights are very accurate and the heavy barrel is a beast  thumb1
I always say no more rimfire but this orphan needed a home  :)

That is a really nice find. The Palma sight is really cool but I don't know if that was original to the gun.  Not that it matters

You may be correct on the sight , I think the stock may have even been refinished at some point but the end result is one ragged hole at 50 yards with cci standard velocity 🫡
