Hello,

I probably first stumbled across this website after discovering the existence of the M59 (though I'm sure I've stumbled across it before). I came across a listing online, thought it was mislabeled (since it has not grenade launcher, etc). But then I realized it was real. Since then, I've come to realize there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information out there about; but most of what you need here. I own a few and figured this would be a great place and share and learn more about the various SKSs; so here I am!

Welcome from SW Missouri, blaZzinG_FurY! Great to have you here!

Looks like a nice M59! Always feel free to post up as many pics as possible.  :)  We love the pics!  chuckles1

If you lurk around here and other SKS forums, you may already know about posting pics of the pertinent areas of the SKS that we use for reference, identifying, and discussion. Answering questions about any firearm is always made easier with pics to identify and then relay back to you any info from the considerable combined knowledge of the board's members here and the data that the board has collected. If you aren't familiar with what key areas to take pics of, just ask and members here will happily help you.  thumb1

Welcome aboard, from behind enemy lines!

I'll share a little more. M59/66.

blaZzinG_FurY

Okay. Last one. Norinco. I actually have a second one but I'm embarrassed to say I messed it up a little. I didn't quite understand the concept of blueing and how it's actually "rust." Luckily, that one wasn't all matching like this one, though it did have the better blueing ... used to. The stock on the other hand was busted and the retainer screw was badly pitted.
Anyway, from here on out I think I should post further and more detailed pictures in their respective areas.
... unless I don't have to. Though makes sense to me.

C block. Sorry for the late response.

Phosphorus32

Thanks, the C block is definitely the vast majority of the M59s.

Definitely post more detailed picture spreads of your SKSs etc.  thumb1
