Has anyone had any luck ordering parts from Russia? I found a blued/black bayo on the bay I’m interested in. It’s in Russia. Guy has decent feedback. Just curious.

personally no , ive read about fellas in other forums discussing it though , from what ive observed is allot of nail biting due to the amount of time involved to completion ,some state 6-8 weeks , some longer , all seem to ended up above board when all was said and done

the thing that would bother me is payment , russians are notorious for internet fraud , theft ,hacking, you may only be hanging $40 or $50 out there but your payment info could be more costly , ive read where they may not clean your account out but syphon 1 or 2 bucks here and there which can go un noticed , get a couple thousand of them and it becomes pretty profitable
There are going to be two types of people in this world , those without toilet paper , and those with plenty of ammo to protect their toilet paper

Yes, I actually ordered a pair of slings and they were in Russia but it took about 5 weeks to get here.  My first Russian SKS didn't have a sling and I wanted the "real McCoy" and a fella had some NOS.  Might be the same seller, don't be in a hurry...

I have ordered multiple things from Russia and Ukraine (mostly slings, but also cases, stripper clips, etc.) and apart from shipping delays had zero problems so far (knock on wood).
eBay is very buyer friendly. And generally someone has decent feedback you have nothing to worry about.

It depends on what you order whether or not it is legal to receive into the US. real bayonets are not legal to import for some reason, but I don't know what has to be done to them to make them legal. Justin Hell may know as he has ordered stuff from Russia as well.
I ordered a few things from Russia with good success, but only accessories. Sling, drop case, and a pouch.
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

I have had nothing but success ordering from Russia....but yes, it takes forever. Months sometimes...at least last year at the onset of the covid fiasco.
Ask if the bayonet has been annealed or softened, it used to be you were not even to possess bayonets as a citizen there...unless they were softened and made for what they call... layouts, which essentially means wall hanger.

Additionally, make sure that is actually a blued bayonet, not a bbq painted matte (originally) bayonet.

Justin made an excellent point. Bayonets are regulated there, you may want to ensure it's a real deal and not a neutered version.

In addition to annealing, they also can be regulated with some really nasty cuts that make me want to cry1 cry1:

Ask if it comes with one of these:

I've ordered SKS stripper clips on fleabay from the Ukraine and it takes a long time for shipping like everything else from that part of the world. The transaction went without a hitch and they sent me a nice thank you note after.

Ive ordered from Russia and other old com block states as well and only had one item go missing and I was refunded in full.  Most transactions were on fleabay and they do help out when things go south.

Just the other day I got a repo svt 40 bayo.  Took almost 3 months to get here.

Hey RM, at least with the cuts, they can be welded and refinished to look OEM. So, I'd much rather have that than an annealed bayonet.

Never a problem with four different sellers, two in Russia and two from Ukraine. Fair prices and exactly as described. Took about 3 weeks for delivery. There's a guy out of Odessa that sells practically everything except receivers,  A+.

I’ve ordered many pieces of militaria, slings, pouches, holsters, firearm specific tools and minor firearms parts from the FSU countries without any problems. I’ve never ordered a hammer, sear, trigger, barrel, bolt, bayonet...you get the idea.

I have ordered bayonets from Finland, but the last one was in 2020 and it wasn’t the only item in the package.

Ive dealt with people from Russia, Germany, Bosnia, Croatia etc etc. Only time ive ever been burned is by Mark Kubes from Buymilsurp.com in Florida.
