So I was browsing GB with an 'SKS' search and, as usual, came across a listing for a VZ-52 in 7.62x45 when it struck me. How different is the Commbloc 7.62x45 for the VZ-52 than .300 Blackout, which is US 7.62x45? Subsequently, would the .300 blackout work in a VZ-52?
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

If your brave you can try to do it, video if you do..  rofl   but a 300BO...  my book says it's 7.62×35mm, it is a 7.62 bullet crammed into a modified 5.56 NATO case, the case is smaller in diameter and is shorter than the 7.62x39, so the 300blackout would just flop around in a 7.62x45 Czech chamber.

300BO and a x39

I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

Ah, okay, thanks GM. For some reason I had it in my head the case on the BO was the same as in 5.56, as in 'not modified in length'.

Well, never mind then, LOL. :-[

GG, the .300BO (7.62x35) is, to me, a good round if you want to soup up an AR platform, though the effective range falls off just about as fast as the 7.62x39.  Also, though fractionally less powerful than the 7.62x39 for equal bullet weights, it does have a much wider range of weights to use, from subsonic to supersonic (though I stick to 110gr-150gr SS).  It's one of those rounds that you either hate or love. Cheers, Bruce.

I think you can do anything you want -- ONCE!
I can't recommend that experiment though

There are going to be two types of people in this world , those without toilet paper , and those with plenty of ammo to protect their toilet paper
