Looking around for rare or diff sks here,,,
So far not much luck,,just saw one at a shooting range,,rough shape Russian letter series in laminate, with a 1950 receiver cover,,

At least had some fun on full auto AK47 and T97,,

Hopefully better luck tomorrow

Hmm,,,
Well,,I did find something cool over there,,,
I knew it was different from any sks that ive seen,,but I didnt know what it was until I took a closer look at the photos when I got home,,

Its a Chinese Type 63 or 68,,made in factory 26,,although the pic is blurry

Neat little evolution of the sks,,to select fire.

and a few more pics of this rare beast

Funny thing about the Viets and Khmers,,they all call the sks,,ckc. I guess its from a literal translation of Russian,,as the ruskies dont use an s but instead a c.
Well the Khmers were calling this thing a ckc as well,,and Im like,,thats not a ckc guys  :)
Apparently it uses a rotating bolt similar to the AK

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

That's freaking outstanding. That's a once in a lifetime sight right there, thanks for sharing!

"You would last about an hour in Charlotte before the police were called bc you were walking around outside with a bottle of scotch and a g43."

"I don't appreciate you showing Nazi images. My old lady's granddad died at Auschwitz."
"I'm sorry to hear that..."
"Yeah...he fell off a guard tower."

Arsenal is too washed out for me to make it out, but the S/N sure looks like 11284568 to me.  11th year of T63/68 production could be 1973?  Amazing to see the similarities of these to the 23 mils, 24 mils, & late M21s and their french ticklers and III battle sight settings.  They are clearly closely related to each other, more-so than to the other SKS factories....

Good stuff!  thumb1

Anyone else notice those sight leaf buttons?!

Looks quite similar to my wacky DB huh?

The wrap around handguard is nifty too....weirdness...

Very cool....thanks for sharing the pics!!

Hey, while you're there see if you can find any late Chicoms  thumb1

The bayonet itself is baffling. Looks like somewhat akin to a Yugo for the handle...but it almost seems like a blend between a spike and a blade...could just be the pictures but something is odd about the shape of it. The blood grooves seem very deep...

There is so much about this that it is fascinating. I want one.

I agree, neat bayo.

However, while I think it's cool as hell to see pics of one, i always have thought that that gun is ugly as sin. Lol kind of like a bastard mutant child of a retarded inbred sks.
