Hello,

I cracked the stock on my Type 56 quite awhile ago and am having a really hard time finding a compatible stock. I finally found a plastic jungle stock that Almost fits with dremeling, but I was wondering if there is a stock that will fit without adjustment. The rifle in question is a Type 56 made in Factory 26 with a threaded barrel. Pic also attached.

Howdy and welcome to the SKS-Files. Funny thing about SKSs, there are so many variations and tolerances were also large enough it is not always easy to get a used item and have it be perfect right off the bat. Are you wanting to restore it? If not then an aftermarket stock will do the job with minor, if any, fitting needing to be done.
If you do want to restore it I have a few stocks that should work with your short collar threaded barrel. Post a pic of your gas tube and HG so I can see if I can match the wood color and graining.
If you want to use the "jungle stock" then, if it is NOS and never fit to any SKS, you will have to be the one doing the fitting. Or have a gunsmith do it for you if needed.
My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

Or you can repair the original stock by drilling, pinning and gluing/clamping it.
When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.
