Chinese stripper clips NOS vs new

So, I have never really paid that much attention to stripper clips until I bought a pack of new NCStar clips, which I promptly sold off because they were not real good. They fit into the slot okay(which was an issue others have discussed), but they didn't hold the ammo very well. Rounds would pop out in the middle when trying to load.

I have come across some packs of clips that are 15-20 years in storage, Chinese, in 20 packs. I don't remember ever having issues with any clips that long ago, but it has been a while. Any thoughts on the reliability of these vs the new aftermarket junk?

I've only used milsurp, and I've avoided NCStar like the plague.

That being said, I don't think you can really go wrong with milsurp. Do these have any markings on them?

Don't have a visual, just a description at this time. Just wondering, on the record, if clips that old were actually milsurp leftovers as opposed the the current production.

I have no idea as I don't know when ncstar began selling them.
The company was founded in 1997 according to the innerwebs.

milsup would be way to go. i have a bunch marked BXN. work great and think they were from Russia or one of the other commi countries. got them on eBay many years ago.

For anyone who is interested, I decided to try them and bought 4-20 packs to fill up all my bandoliers. They are quoted as saying "they work as opposed to the new ones"

feedback from buyers was pretty good. don't need them but couldn't help myself and orered a pack. will let everyone know when I get them if they work.

Cool, I bought 4 packs that are due today. IIRC 386 was a good number for Chinese clips on the quality front, actual mil-surp. I will report when I get mine.
