Thanks all for the helpful posts! I got it back together in the stock and cycled dummy rounds through it a bunch. Happy to report all problems appear to be resolved, including the trigger issue I was having that prompted me to take apart the trigger assembly in the first place. Going to the range later today or tomorrow morning.

Took to the range and sighted in with 60 rounds. It shoots like an SKS. No trigger issues or problems.
