Hmm, that BIN needs to come with a tube of KY  :o scared1 crazyp1

It does have the “make an offer” button active. If I was in the market, I might make an offer of about 1/3rd of the BIN

If I was the trolling kind... :P  :))

But, but, but it's perhaps the rarest variant available except for the East German!  hunter)

Considering you won't touch an EG for $4k in todays environment, he needs to up the price to $5k to match his deception err I mean description!

I never understand the auctions that start with a high price, but provide so few photos. It seems like as the price goes up the quantity and quality of photos goes down.

I am embarrassed to admit I had to change my drawers when I saw the price.

Direct Connection

It wasn't that long ago when these were available. They are one beautiful SkS and from the same country as our First Lady : ) No wonder they're beautiful. I wanted one so bad back then my blood pressure rose through the roof. And because of our nice little liberal laws, No Slovenian for me.. rofl2 I cant remember what they went for back then but Im thinking 699.00.

If I was only stupider, or wealthy... ::) PAX

But wait! It's only $2300 on armslist! (GB is $2990)  chuckles1

https://www.armslist.com/posts/11181841/baltimore-maryland-rifles-for-sale--rare-chrome-parade-sks

And most likely a scam (what a surprise!)  rofl2

Good catch!  thumb1

I've noticed the sellers rating on GB, on "feedback as buyer" he has a F rating for "The Buyer never completed the transaction and would not respond to emails."

To me, even if this SKS was priced lower, I would not trust him anyway to place a bid.

For those of us who collect anything, and I stress anything, it doesn't take long to find out that just because something's rare, that doesn't mean that it's valuable.

I wouldn't mind having one of these. I like the look.

Yup, anything that's a one off is rare. Anything home-built is rare. I can slap two pallets together and paint them green and say it's a rare work of art. Remember the moron that bought the banana taped to the wall? P. T. Barnum was most certainly right...There's a sucker born every minute.

Actually though it has been reported for many years that P. T. Barnum supposedly said that, he actually did not and it has been proven recently that he did not say that by many of his friends and associates as well as many of his distractors.  It was proven that he did not say that on the show Truth Or Ficiton quite a while back.

Larry D.

While it's true that P.T. Barnum never said that, it doesn't mean that the statement isn't true. A fool and his money and all..... :)

For what it's worth, he said something to that effect, and some reporter came up with the actual "quote". I guess fake news isn't just a recent phenomenon..... rofl

Actually the saying was made by one of his adversarys back when the adversary claimed he had a "petrified giant" and P T wanted to buy it and the adversary refused to sell it to him.  P T then created his own "petrified giant" out of cement/stone and claimed that his adversary's "giant" was fake and that his "giant" was real.  The adversary then made  that saying of "A fool and his money is soon parted" and reporters mistakenly attributed the saying to P T Barnum.
