Horrible photos.  You'd think for a gun that has the high possibility of bringing in 30 Benjamins they would have more than two postage stamp size photos.  S/N looks to be ㄹㅊ2745 but the suffix could be darn near anything.

Do any of you guys have a contact at Rock Island auctions that we might contact to get better receiver and piece part photos of?  Would be nice to know the full S/N, if this one is all matching, what is marked on the gas cutoff, etc.

Looks like a decent enough specimen at least.

I've asked for pictures of serial numbers and the receiver cover markings for both carbines from RIAC. Their two inadequate pictures are slightly better resolution at the RIAC site than when (not quite) mirrored at Proxibid.

Is that common of the stock finish for N. Korean?  Looks like they used a 40 grit belt sander to finish contour.  Other than that, something I'll never see in my collection, along with the other Trinity's  drool2 cry2.

I'm not fond of RIA with their ridiculous 2 photos and high premiums.

You got some decent pictures.  Both look like good specimens.

Thank you for the pictures and the time involved acquiring them from RIA, P32.

I don't see shellac on either one ...  no cartouches etc.   ???  looks like an oil finish on both and the dark one was stained.

Hell....  just buy mine.   🤗

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

I really like that second one!  Thanks Jon I'll add them both to the S/N thread.  thumb1

You're welcome. RIA in my experience is very responsive to photo requests, especially if you ask 3 or more weeks ahead of the auction.

I thought the wood on the second (lighter) one was messed with but that pic of the receiver cover serial number looks like there is flaking shellac on the stock, so maybe original after all. I didn't ask for more detailed pics of the stock, just markings.

P.S. I'm not planning to go after them.

4.5 neighborhood....  may list it on broker during tax return season.
