And under new, safe ownership  :) it's possessed, almost like Gregory Peck opening a box at the LGS.. The Omen was inside.... rofl

I was lucky enough to have an offer dropped on me just before Christmas from a former member. I couldn't.. I just couldn't.. let it pass..since I did admire it in all it's worn mismatched beauty, well.. it became mine today, and UPS didn't kill it over the holiday rush. Not a very common factory number to find, it's only the second I've seen in reality.... maybe between 4 to 6 are documented.. It has traits of the IC series, small CAI barrel import stamp, shellac finish and pitting under the wood line. The metal finish is worn oh so very nice, and the butt repair is cool as hell, so one thing is, this ain't no storage crate commercial special.

And the dude who struck it...must be a manly man...cause he hit'er hard and sunk it deep.. thumb1
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Is this from Worm? I think it was Worm that had the sweet avatar and can't remember if it was of 666 arsenal.

ARMY NAM VET, SO PROUD!

I think I need a well worn beauty like that.
There's just something about an old trooper that's been rode hard and put away wet that really catches my eye...

About the triple 6 factory mark, why so few? Surely the Chicoms wouldn't tool up a factory only to shut it down after producing a few thousand units. Where are they?

Yup.. it's the same one he had, known him for quite a few years, great guy... thumb1  I sure wouldn't get lucky enough to search out and find an uncommon oddball factory.... so many other things have my interests  chuckles1

Luck of the draw on what was imported, smaller low scale factory, what was available for import and from what nation, all can reduce numbers imported, owners don't care,  don't report or don't photo factory numbers. I'm sure there is maybe more than a few thousand made, maybe not... they may mostly have been shipped to a nation we do not trade with and got mixed up, maybe just a handful were picked up and shipped by another US friendly nation after a conflict, this one does show a few IC traits, so it possibly came from the middle east with the early shipments...  One never knows with all those variables in place..

Early CAI import stamp..

Nice stock repair with a good wedge fit, mostly matching metal with character.  Hard to find factory.  Yep, you have a good friend thumb1.  Just one thing....that song is now stuck in my head wacko1

GM, I thought that was the gun. If you ever decide to part with that baby let me know. I will exorcise the demons from it and give it a good home too!
