Continuing my blade rifles, here is a 1962 7 Million Serial.  Mostly matching, though the stock seems to have been a replacement as well as the bolt and what seems to me a bolt carrier from another country (Yugo?).  Fairly good finish and will do as a representative for the collection.  I'll be posting these to the survey.  Cheers.

Nice looker there...you can certainly do worse when it comes to a 7 mil /26\ as seen in some of the recent imports!  thumb1

What serial number does the carrier have on top?  The 10-718 number stamped on the left side of the carrier does not appear to be a std. yugo part number like is typically seen in the lightening cut on the right side and it sure looks a bit too shiny to be  a yugo carrier as well.  I'd guess it's a late model Chinese carrier since the lightening cut is not there in your overall right view.  dntknw1

Thanks, both.
RM, thanks for the info on the carrier.  Honestly, I've never owned a Yugo, nor handled them much, so I was doing a SWAG.  Thanks for the id of possible late Chinese.  It would make more sense.

I'm beginning to feel insignificant compared to some of you guys.....

Larry, I don't know why. I've seen some of your posts and it looks like you have some cool toys, also thumb1.

A few, but you guys are coming up with some extremely nice stuff.

Larry, I just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time wink1.  On the Cast and the Ghost I literally tracked down the owners at a local gun show and made them reasonable offers.  Beat another guy to the punch who stopped me going out of the show asking if I wanted to sell.

I know I'm late to this but that a very nice looking rifle! When did they switch from blade to the "pig sticker"?

9 mil /26\ is the first observed spike bayonet on a Chinese Type 56.  thumb1

I have a 7 million series. I bought it in 2017 as a "gunsmith special" Chinese/Albanian. It is rough, cracked stock but matching numbers except stock. Lot's of names and stuff carved in the stock. It still outshoots my newer Norinco and has never missed a beat.

Gashog that rifle has had some good times!

Doesn't appear to have been fired alot, but it looks like it got dragged around town behind an Albanian pick-up truck. haha

GH, Below is a link to what I did when I got in a Beta Arms SKS 30 that had a full split like yours.  Hope it helps.

Bacarnal, nice repair job on that stock. Very similar break to what I have on the original stock. I pinned and glued a smaller crack on the spare stock I have so I could shoot this rifle while I get time to repair the stock it came with.

I put two pins in a cross fashion.  The crack ran between the pins and all but disapeared. That third pin is a steel pin that was in the stock when I got it.
