Nice.  thumb1

Now, rotate it 180 degrees.

It's on upside down. ;)

Thanks friend

change made. I thought the flat side was supposed to be on the bottom when extended

Thats why the screw wouldn't lock in tight. after I rotated it the screw tightened down completely

thanks

Small problem came up though the collar that fits over the end of the barrel was too tight. but after 4 hours with a round file all is ok.

Thank you for your service my friend. Proud to know you

Looking good.
Personally, I think that if there's a provision for a bayonet, then a bayonet is a must!

Excellent garyed057! Much better look for that nice Type 56! When I see an SKS without a bayonet or cleaning rod, it sets off all my OCD bells and whistles!  Besplode   :P  (I don't actually have OCD, but I think I contracted a sympathetic case of it when I started frequenting these boards! lol !)

Flat side down when folded. That way, the shooter's hand doesn't feel the single edge of the bayo when gripping the forward handguard in firing position. More comfort with the flat side down, folded into the stock.

Thank you again FC. You helped make it possible. though I don't think I should try to bayonet the target at the indoor gun range!

I think I have the same condition when it comes to milsurps. My Nieces Husband bought a 98K Mauser and my first thought on seeing it was "Where's the cleaning rod?" Didn't say it out outloud.

A note on cleaning rods, Tickbite supply carries a few different ones. I ordered 2 Yugo rods hoping I'd get a couple of, at least, usable ones. What I received was 2 near mint rods. I'm gonna have to add some ugly to one of them to match the ugly Yugo.
I found Yugo slings at Victory for a good price, but they rape you on shipping.

As to bayonets, I've already said that they are a MUST for any rifle that has a spot for them. Same goes for slings, oilers, cleaning kits, etc.

I guess I'm in the OCD club, too........  thumb1
