This is the first 1 million series I've seen. Has anyone else seen a 1 million?

What a travesty that after all these years the myth of millions + 1956 (or millions plus anything) is still so strongly engrained in the collecting community.  'Millions' just doesn't matter.  Once people get past that, dating these is such a breeze.

Very similar to the 1961 6m, these guns, all serials observed thus far have been sub 20k indicating maybe 2-3 weeks of production compared to similar era production numbers. Please note, the first two digits (in this case the 15) is simply the 1970 year designation as illustrated in the Chinese SKS dating thread. Q: When was my Chinese Type 56 SKS made?   All digits after the 15 will indicate the actual # produced that year.
