Hi I'm new here, I picked this SKS up from J&G a few years back, cleaned up the cosmo and stopped the progression of pitting in some places.
It's all matching except the stock, which has no serial, was this a replacement stock? With the 5 digit serial number does that make this a 1956 yr production?
More info?

Yes sir....  thats a nice 5 digit "ghost" 1956.   thumb1

Welcome.

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Nice  thumb1 The only thing nicer would have been the matching stock, but the majority of these imports from Albania were not fully matching, so a "metal matching" carbine with an unnumbered replacement stock is the next best thing.  Welcome to The Files!

Bluing is nice on the metal.  A lot of these early ones are rather thin on finish.

Stock grain is interesting, almost has the elm look.
