Does this pad make my butt look big?

It's only 2 inches, but I can really tell a difference in the length of pull when I shoulder the rifle (Chinese Type 56 SKS).  It was delivered this morning (the day after I went to my gun club), so I haven't fired the rifle with the pad on it yet.

I never liked that particular butt pad, not that I have used one...I just don't like the look....but none of the others look right to me either.
I like skinny butts and I cannot lie. Heck, the wife didn't even exceed 120 lbs when she was about to give birth.  rofl2

Even the pads that cover only the buttplate look odd,  Yugo's are the only ones I do like....and for a time I had a Yugo stock on a Chinese...it did the trick, despite being so very wrong.  While the extra LOP is nice, I just learned to deal without it.

It's winter. Wear a shooting jacket with shooting pad sewn in.

In warmer weather use one that straps to your sholder under your shirt.

Or, use nothing at all. It's 7.62x39 after all,  not 7.62x54r.

And, like i told my girlfriend in college, "no, your butt makes your butt look big."

I put one of the solid ones you screw into the bottom. they all look ugly in my opinion, but serve the purpose. those Asians just have shorter arms.  :o

ARMY NAM VET, SO PROUD!

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

I kind of like keeping my SKS as "G.I." looking as possible. But I'm not the tallest guy in the world and length of pull on my SKS isn't too bad. And adding that butt-pad isn't permamnent, so I dont think it's that big of a deal.

Yes, it does  :))  But if you shoot better with it, who cares, you can make it pretty (read original) when your SKS isn't at the range  :)
