I have a 26 sks rifle all matching with a 4 in a triangle on the wood stock. What does the triangle four mean?
Thanks Bruce

/4\ is a factory that apparently made rifle stocks and perhaps other items.

I've always thought the /#\ stamps on the stocks were likely inpsection/QC related.

I've seen triangles with  different numbers 1,2,3 and 4 for certain but I may have encountered other single digits triangle stamps on chinese stocks.

Haven't seen a #4 factory reference until today.

Stock making facility, inspection stamp....  Who the heck knows.   :))

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

I'll go along with that  :))

I just lean toward a factory or shop mark for consistency, /#\ generally means a factory, and it doesn't seem far fetched to have separate facilities specializing in carpentry and wood products. Just opinions, not facts.
