OK Finally Picked up what I believe to be a non Chromed Slovenian Ceremonial Rifle. These came packed in the Green Ceremonial crates, with the Tan ceremonial Sling which is Identical to the chromed versions sling, The Butt Pads are Identical as well. They both have a hole drilled for a cleaning rod, however neither is drilled deep enough for a cleaning rod to sit into its proper position.
The stock on this one is Absolutely Gorgeous,  the end of the stock looks to have been sanded down to fit the new ceremonial Butt pad. There are also rubber bumpers in each of the Bayonet stock grooves not found in other Yugoslavian SKS's............
This one came with the original cloth hardcover Yugoslavian Log book as opposed to the chromed version which came with the soft plastic slovenian Log book. However they did reuse the old book and managed to stuff in about 20 pages of there own information.......  The one diff. between the two books is on the First page (Ident:) Translated into English meaning: Ident, your guess is as good as mine.....but possibly code for  how they designated there Different models......? does anybody have a Slovenian log book for a normal yugo SKS? if so what number follows: Ident:?

That rifle is just beautiful. Near as I can tell the above mentioned outfit is just north of Louisville and has both a wholesale and retail operation but that is only if I'm onto the right place but I think so.

They have a lot of uncomplimentary reviews. I might think about making a short side trip by there in August on the way to catch the eclipse if I go that way. Haven't decided whether to go to Shawnee Forest or just stay at the camp.

Very cool!  Nice that you got one of the earlier models with the ported GL, that's what I would have wanted. It's fun t.hat the Yugoslavians can still toss us some surprises  :)

Pretty sure from the other thread already that this is what I got my son for Christmas.  We cleaned it up last night and will be range testing it this weekend.

It was a big hit!  The firing pin channel seemed to be the most gunked up part though I swear.

Very nice!

I hope your kid appreciates the fact there is a little trickle of drool happening in the Hoth known as Montana right now.

Beautiful Yugo y'all have there.

Gunk. That's why it's best to break down the bolt completely. Well done  thumb1

He loves it! :)  He's nagging me to go out and shoot it already but with the time it gets dark here after work won't work so it has to wait until Saturday.
