Picked up a 1952 Polish Tokarev at a recent auction. Had to strip it down and get the Cosmoline remnants out of it. Very good condition overall, with nice deep black "bluing". There are a couple of wear marks on the left side of the slide and on the back of the trigger. It has definitely been shot a few times but the rifling is still sharp and shiny. I'm struck (so to speak) by how many parts were serialized on these Polish Tokarevs. I haven't had my Romanian TTC stripped down to this level in ages so I don't remember if Cugir personnel were as active with the electropencil as those workers at the Radom plant in Poland, but it doesn't stick in my mind. Maybe armedhippie knows off the top of his head. Anyhow, here's the onslaught of pictures.

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Thanks!  I wonder if the black was police issue, or army, or a Polish thing generally, or...  think1  In any case, it is a nice looking rig and a change of pace from the common combloc reddish brown

The Polish Wz67 helmet is kind of cool too.  I bought it direct from Sportsman's Guide a year or two ago. It has writing on the inner pads that suggest a former soldier thought he was an American hippie, or at least a T Rex fan  chuckles1

TRex fan rofl.  Cool cover thumb1

Ok... You need a Wz48 for that... Great combo. Play some TRex, wear the Wz67 helmet with a tie-dyed hippy shirt with a peace symbol and ding the gong with a Wz48 thumb1  rofl
