Questions about strippers... Clips, that is.

So I was wondering, is there as much variance in stripper clips as there is in the rifles themselves? I imagine some are more rare, and some work better in a wider variety of rifles, but id really like to know.

The Yugoslavian stripper clips that come with the M67 ammo are great, as are the Czech, bxn, strippers.

I've never seen the original Russian or Chinese strippers but supposedly the latter used to be quite common and worked great. Unfortunately NC Star flooded the market with lousy Chinese stripper clips with poor quality control and some of those were also 31 stamped like the former good quality milsurp Chinese stripper clips. At least that's my understanding.

As Phos already stated, Yugo or BXN are the best out there. I made the mistake of buying repros, and they definitely suck. I did "rework" them to where they function properly, but it was quite time consuming. That was also before I knew about the Yugo or BXN strippers.

It's tempting to spend "less" on the aftermarket strippers but in the end you will be sorely disappointed....... any surplus clips work well.

BXN are the way to go. got mine (BXN65) off eBay from European seller.

They just have BXN or BXN65 stamped in the center.

Like everyone said, bxn are the way to go.  I brought 100 from someone in CZ on ebay a few years back.  Loaded up all my chest rigs and pouched and then sold the extras/
I did that because i picked up some repro/china ones at a gun show and like the others above have said, they are not worth squat.

I have seen some that come with ammo with no stamps.

The finish can help give it away too, all my BXN, BXN68 that i brought and the one that came with my gun at the store have a dull finish, the after market ones seem to be  shinier and smoother.
