M08 noticed interesting bayo S/N stuff in a post on gunboards (http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?673233-Russian-Letter-I-Series-Never-noticed-this-before)

I wanted to start a thread here to have a place to put the various different tang stampings people have seen.  Many bayos get overlooked as they are just bayos, but I suspect there is some good info in there if we can collect and categorize it.

Circle У on a '56 Tula, Irkutsk Light Refurb:

Circle B on a '53 Tula, Irkutsk Light Refurb:

Triangle B on a '51 Tula, 1st GRAU / Balakleya Heavy Refurb:

Triangle З (Ze) on a '51 Tula, 1st GRAU / Balakleya Heavy Refurb, also another unreadable stamp inside a circle that looks to have been ground off on bottom:

Loose}{Cannon

I have some on a russian letter gun bayo that went through a fire and turned black but cannot make them out. Few on my SS... cant make it out.  Few on my sneak... cant make it out.

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

Is there a way to tell blade bayos apart by country of origin? I've got a loose blade that came in a lot of 3 bayos I bought that has what looks like either a "C" or an incomplete circle with nothing in it.
