Saw this one while going through gunbroker sales for September.  Did someone post this one before?

I did. LC has added it already. I tried to buy it as it was local, but someone wanted it more than i did, lol.

That's why I don't like moving auction posts when it's a gun of significance.

I thought I'd remembered it.  First 25 mil /26\ in my records.  Should be quite a few out there are the S/N is in the 11k range.  Should be another 5 or 10 in our listings based on the number supposedly out in the wild.

As for auctions...if they are still active I agree they should be in the auctions section.  After they are done and if they should be catalogued for future reference, by all means archive the photos and post them in the appropriate section.  The auction link goes away after a while, needs archived or else it goes "poof".

For reference, the seller told me he bought it brand new, and just had the scope and mount added. It had the wood handguard, not the french tickler.

Last night I found 25009031 listed on Gunbroker: http://www.gunbroker.com/item/592443513

No scope mount and same engraving style for model/caliber.

Before I knew any better, I had the choice between two SKSs when I traded a knock off tommy gun in.

One just like this with the engraved import mark, that I chalked up to some dumb kid with an engraver defacing it. I wonder if it was a 25m? I opted for another, instead one of the few and first noticed 9m spikers...and currently my favorite SKS.  I just wish I had the cash to pony up for both...but it would have been about fifty bucks over my in store credit. banghead1  Instead I got another of my favorite guns along with the 9m...a beat up old T53.

I'm tellin' ya RM....you gotta try one, at least they are Chinese.  ;)

I hope that others have been seen with this 'style' of import marking...otherwise, I have another SKS in Montana to hunt around for again.  When I saw the auction for the scoped one I died a little inside knowing I might have let a neat one slip away.

Nice!  thumb1

Justin, I've seen engraved import stamps from various importers across the spectrum of guns. You likely didn't miss out on anything major, especially seeing that the 9mil is your favorite.

We'll have to see about the T53 though :)
