Yeah.  I doubt anything would happen, but you never know, money makes people do things they wouldn't normally do, and a $1000 offer thrown at the seller in an unsolicited email might make him think twice about honoring your BIN bid. 


This deal puts you well into SKS legend status.  Even Blicero can't deny that only an SKS legend can find a gun like this...

That is one I could have gotten away with and flipped just in time for my in-laws visit...  It would have looked better for my collection that they disapprove of, and haven't seen the extent of. Showing I could max out a credit card and then pay the whole thing off in a week or so ( time) would show that my investments were sound, and that I would be willing to sell. (only because I would certainly have to)

So many people **** and moan about gunbroker "rawwr grumblegrumble shill bidders not a true marketplace evaluation overinflated grumblegrumble....hilary clinton..."
But the depth of my collection would be much more superficial if not for my dedication to scrounging, daily, the depths of gunbroker. And it looks like a similar approach paid off here. Way to go!
