5 Romys this month.  I still consider the Romy to be the best value in SKSs today.  They are built like tanks, even if they trend a bit uglier then their brethren.

Lowest Sale Price: $390.00
Avg. Sale Price: $475.20
Highest Sale Price: $606.99
As-Issued Avg. Price: $606.99

Please let me know any feedback (good or bad) to these.

If you have an objection or observation to add to anything I've listed, by all means call it out.  Let's look at it long and hard (I only look at each listing for a minute or two at most) and maybe everyone can learn a thing or two!  thumb1

Item Link   Description   # Bids   Final Price   Year   Arsenal Condition   Current Condition   RM's Notes

581467025   SKS Select Grade Romanian 7.62x39 Rifle SKS-GN2522   6   $606.99    1959   As-Issued   Good   Almost gave this one a 'fair' due to the bolt carrier ding in the stock right by the S/N.  As it is, looks legit to me, nice example, nice enough condition.  The whole "The bolt head appears to have never had a round on it" is ridiculous of course, but otherwise a decent auction here.

585518066   Romanian Type 56 SKS Century Arms 7.62x39   1   $429.00    Uncertain   Bubba   Good   That side swivel Chinese stock sticks out like a sore thumb on this one...

581479913   Rare C&R Unfired Romanian SKS Model 56, No Reserve 1958 dated, perfect bore, Cugir, 7.62x39mm, Yugo   10   $495.00    1958   Refurbished   Good   Relisted gun here that sold last month.  One of those "ALMOST all matching" guns, (except for minor things like the stock and the gas tube).  Odd that they'd replace those things on an unfired gun...must be all the sitting around corrodes the gas tube and rots the wood more quickly I guess ;)  Sold for $50 more than it did last month so I guess the seller did ok.

581355798   Romanian Model 56 SKS, 7.62X39, Century Arms, NICE   34   $455.00    1959   Refurbished   Good   Torn between refurb and bubba'd.  That stock certainly didn't start out life looking like that....

580453167   SKS M56 Carbine Romanian   1   $390.00    1959   Uncertain   Uncertain   Not a great listing.  People cost themselves money when they toss up 4 dark photos that show little detail.  One of these days you'd think they would learn.

My bet... Bubba.. Look at the crossbolt, shiny sanding marks on the bolt head and nut are present.
I'm going to make him an offer he can't refuse......

Leave the gun, take the cannoli.

I said I was an addict........I didn't say I had a problem

Missed that one, I think you're right.  Aside from the sloppy sanding, I was going to say that did a relatively nice job - though I am partial to redheads.  :))

1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms... It doesn't matter how many Lenins you get out on the street begging for them to be taken.

...and to top it off, the 4 photos show little of interest to the collector.  Yes, it has a Cugir mark and it's from 1959...thanks a ton! The winner probably did somewhere between good and fantastic. One of those lottery purchases.
