Bosnian M59 SKS??

Anyone seen this? Sure looks odd....  It's got a Yugo type gas block, and almost looks like modded m59/66 barrel. Still has the m59/66 bayo, which doesn't look like it would latch onto anything anymore. Also has the front top edge of the bolt carrier machined down, like a Polytech Hunter. The stamping on the receiver looks legit, I have just never heard of this before...

This is a butchered 59/66 that was imported... the carrier is normal for a 59/66.  The carrier was notched to fit unter the rsb with night sights.

Aim and one other vendor had those, caused a big stink being sold as actual "M59s".. Recievers were scrubbed and it should have the BATRB G10 style import stamp, and have serials usually like 000123. Usually tote new chrome barrels, TRB in Bosina refurb'ed a bunch of Yugos left over from the wars there.

Absolutely is.  The major problem with them was they were advertized as M59's which they are clearly not.  Like GM says, Wideners is the other place that had them along with AIM.  Here's the sales pitches from each:





As interesting/unusual as it is, it ain't worth no $759 though.  There are also far more than 200 of them (AIM had 200, Wideners had them for sale for *years*).  The whole calling them a C&R is incorrect too as these guns are *not* C&R w/o the grenade launcher as well as being manufactured after the '92 cutoff date in the ATF C&R listing which states:

Yugoslavian manufactured rifles M59 and M59/66, 7.62 x 39 mm caliber, all semiautomatic variations and having a fixed magazine, manufactured from 1947-1992.

All the Kali M59/66 conversions w/o GLs are not C&R either as far as I know because they are not in "their original military configuration".  Most people don't realize/care though.  The interesting thing is that not being a C&R throws those guns into a sort of 922(r) limbo where they are illegally modified...

Yeah these are on my master Commercial list. The bayonet will latch to the collar left on the barrel.

If anyone truly wants one of these, there is another one on GB right now, for $500. (might be gone already, saw it last night).

Interestingly, it's not anywhere near as nice quality as the other one I posted. Especially the lettering.
