I got this Chinese (/26\ in 11million range) several years ago from a board member on another board in a trade. It is unremarkable as far as any I have ever seen except the stock. It looks like it could be homemade because of the wood type and grain. The trap door works but is only about 2 inches deep. No markings on the stock but all numbers on gun match other than the mag. Considering I have had it for at least 8-10 years and been collecting since the early '90s I have never seen one that looked like this. The handguard matches although it looks like the rivet on the ferrule was popped at some point which would definitely make it a non issue stock. I liked Tapco at one time and could have been the one to have pulled the rivet. Either way, take a look at it and give your thoughts. It is a beautiful piece either way.

And yes, it was entered in the SKS survey

Definitely an interesting pattern on that one.  The quality seems pretty good, if it is a homemade stock, whoever fitted it did one heck of a job.

Nice way to make a plane jane 11 mil /26\ pop a little bit.  thumb1
