Navy Arms Ghost Cowboy

Here is a cowboy companion ghost. It is a Navy Arms with the side scope mount and filled in stock.

I believe a ghost is a chinese type 56 that ONLY has a serial number, and no other markings.

Power Surge is correct.  A 'ghost' is simply a 1956-57 produced Chinese Type 56 SKS made before the advent of the /26\ stamp.

It's a Cowboy's Companion because that's what Navy Arms branded it as.  They added had the exporters add the scope rail, filled the bayo groove in the stock, and neutered the bayo lug.  See xxxsks's section in the SKSGuide for more info: http://chinesesks.weebly.com/navy-c-c.html

Yes the bayonet groove is filled in on all Navy Arms imports with a neutered bayonet. This includes Cowboys Companion's and Farmers Friends.
