Just arrived 1962 SKS *pics*

Hello, new to the site, left an introduction earlier. This just arrived a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised.  The rifle was nicer than the dealers stock photos, all serial numbers match except for the stock (Albanian replacement, I believe), has virtually all the bluing and only a slight crack in the finger groove that does not go through to the inside of the stock.  Looks like a '62 model if you go by this site, it's my first Chinese.  I have generally collected the Russians with a few Yugo's in the mix.  The price was right so I thought I'd pick up a Chinese for Christmas.

Love it!  That does look like a beechwood (Albanian replacement) stock as you mentioned. Looks like it'll clean up real nicely.

I think you'll find this 7 mil /26\ is every bit the gun that any of your Russians or Yugos are!
