I have a '54 Tula that has a 4 digit number stamped on the barrel.  I've never noticed this on any of my other SKS45 rifles and was wondering if anyone else has any similar examples.

Here's the number in question:  barrel lot number?  Assembly number of some sort?

Oh yeah...  Totally normal on several countries.

Good question as to what that number means jj, mine has it also!

Yeah, some russians have the numbers go vertical and some horizontal.......but all mine are under the stock line, weird you can see it with the stock on.
