Type 99 w/full mum!!!

This is one of my Mummed Arisakas, a Type 99  Series 21 Kokura arsenal, with anti aircraft sights. The sling is a repro job.






Now here is the freaky, errie part, this rifle has been used enough at some point, there is a fingernail groove worn in the stock. When you cycle the bolt, your fingernails will follow this groove.

That's a good lookin one GM, are there many of these still around? Somebody did a lot of shootin', wonder if they knocked down any aircraft!

Do those objects on each side of the sight slide in and out?

Alright, it's good to see the Arisakas get some love. I anticipated this forum to be deader'n disco.
Good looking Kokura. Now make yourself useful and find me some 7.7 or 6.5 for less than $43/round!

I keep a few Arisakas stashed. Nothin' fancy. I like their flags much better than I do their guns.

I'll post the Type 38 soon, the photos I took after restoring it suck, and I figure I would just do some new photos.
