Can anyone tell me if there is a way to determine if a Chinese SKS stock is for a long lug threaded barrel, a short lug threaded barrel, or a pinned barrel?  What do I need to look for or measure to determine this?  Thanks!   thumb1

We actually had a discussion about that in a thread recently and made some good deductions on how to tell a pinned barrel stock from the others. Hang on and I'll look for the link.

Primary thing is to measure from the back of the in-letting inside the stock up to the back edge of the cross-bolt. 9" is threaded barrel and 8 7/8" is pinned. There are pics in the other thread about that too.

You bet, and if that one is not correct for a project you are working on let me know, I have been on a buying spree for parts kits and may have what you need in the way of a stock.

Will do Sir.  I need to dig it out of my storage stash and actually see what it is.
