Picked up this Charter Arms Bulldog 44 special from my ffl today. 3" barrel, stainless finish, factory rubber finger groove grips and remora pocket holster. Seller also threw in a cable lock to go along with it. Bought it to replace one that I traded back in the '90s for a S&W 19. Regretted that trade for many years, not that I disliked the 19 but I liked the Bulldog more!
Very nice! Looks like a 5 round cylinder, right? That would make it a reasonably slim package for concealed carry.
As it happens, I had my Ruger Redhawk out yesterday. Shot a cylinder of .44 mag, decimated those full pop cans
, and then shot a cylinder of .44 spcl, low recoil. The latter felt like shooting .22lr with that big heavy frame and 7.5" barrel.
.44 mag w/ 3" bbl... I bet that dog has a "loud bark"! Very Nice!
.44 mag can also take .44 special but not vice versa.
