SKS-D mislabeled as an M on GB

I'm posting this here instead of Auctions because the auction is already over. That and the fact that I won/bought it. 

I've been seeing these anywhere from $800-$1300 depending on condition and completeness. This one is undisturbed in the box with all accessories. I also have a Chinese 5 cell mag pouch and a Type 81 chest rig along with 5 more 30rnd flat-backs, 2 5rnders, and a reloader.

Gave a little more than I wanted but only had one other bidder. I think it's the most I've ever spent on a rifle,

  I don't imagine many of these are still hanging around in their original boxes more than three decades after they were imported.

There is another one, properly labeled that is currently selling at over $1200. I'll be at $1160 after transfer cause I get cash back on the CC I used. I'll post some better pics once I get it in hand.

$1000 for a fully boxed SKS-30 is a good buy in my opinion. These commercial models are only getting more collectible, and finding one with the original packaging is what adds to the value. Plus you got a nice low serial number.

Is the full serial 88 00220? Is there a SKU label on the end of the box?

Are you going to shoot it?  I got a beautiful Clayco M8 NIB about 12 years ago and aside from taking it out every once in a while to oogle it, haven't come close to firing it.

It should be as this is a CSI import and, with the low SN, I am imagining that it should be from the first batch that came in. But who knows for sure...
