Thanks for the compliments, guys! The rifles speak for themselves, for sure.

The crate is actually a Yugoslav Honor Guard SKS crate I was lucky enough to pick up from a member here (thanks SKhiSm 59-66A1!) in late 2015. I paid a lot more in freight than the cost of the crate, but like anyone else that's determined, I wanted it and paid the money. I've never regretted it.

The crate:

The original contents: (No, I wasn't that lucky! There were a few members here that did get lucky on those, though!)

The inside, empty:

Not really a "necessary" item, but still a bit of history and a little "cool" factor to it.

They're a little long for the Chinese SKS because they're made for the Yugo M59/66A-1's but I don't mind.  thumb1

I didn't mean to hijack your thread, High Noon. I started by showing the "Ticklers" but gravitated to the crate. Gotta show off the goods every once in a while. :)

No worries...  It's a nice collection of rifles!

BMont

Nice rifles gents... I only have one in that series and can say that it is one of the nicest sks rifles I own.

Matchka

FC, that's one impressive set!
About the $800, a wee bit too steep. With some more info, $650 might work.

I bet the $800 price has dropped some as things have called down a little.  Might be wrong though - he hasn't cut his price on other items he has for sale.

Matchka

You're right. Things do seem to have calmed down overall. Hang in there!

Yeah things are slowly getting back to a more "new" normal.  7.62x39 ammo is back in the mid 20cpr again anyway.

Thought about asking him if he still had it and what he wanted for it now. Surely $800 has been forgotten!  I can always say "Oh that much...?  Well okay thanks.  Lots-o-luck to you and yours.chuckles1

He's cut the French Tickler to a "measly" $650.  clap1 Looks like a nice one!

The French Ticklers are threaded barrels....?   Is that right?

Yes, if it’s a /26\. Jianshe Arsenal never used pressed and pinned barrels, they merely transitioned threaded barrels from the initial long-lug to short-lug.

BMont

Thats not bad now ... given recent other sales.

He told me it's a /26\.

But he also said it wasn't a threaded or pinned barrel.  Which didn't make sense...? What I saw online appeared to be pics of FTs with threaded barrels, so I was just assuming.

Thanks.

Yeah I might make an offer of $600 and see what he says.

My Avatar is a pic of the real "Ghost" SKS in honor of xxxsks(joe). It is a pic of a fully decked out SKS in Capco hunter's kit. This was mine, the only other pic I had ever seen of one was Joe's.

Do it, you need it. :P rofl rofl

The old saying "I need that, like I need a hole in the head" comes to mind.  chuckles1

I finally got a bubba SKS for my wood stock, so I don't really NEED another one. But who knows.... dance2

.....and I don't already have one!

It's a threaded barrel. The 3rd pic down in that last set of pics shows the lug.

Yeah, offer the $600 and see if he takes it. It looks to be in nice condition from the pics you posted. Good luck!
