Question for you C&R holders.
If you let them expire, what happens in regards to your toys?

In general, nothing. Your just back to pre C&R days. There are no special requirements for letting it expire.

Unlike an FFL01, you keep your log books to do whatever with. Most retain them for purchase/serial/date records, I have and keep all of my old log books, just in a separate binder from my current one.

My 2019 C&R should/should be thru the 'system' by the end of March. My 01 expired years ago. Too much of a hassle in CA these days.

Well, I'm new and I ain't the sharpest tack in the box and as broke as I am, I'd spend $30 for 3 yrs.

It's not the $30 that's expensive.  It's what that $30 allows you to buy that puts you in the poor house!  GM is correct though, very few great deals for FFL 03 holders anymore.

So true! ...Wait, I mean at $25 per transfer at a local FFL-01/02/07, I've saved a few thousand dollars!

It seems like a good deal still if you do even a few transfers via GB or the like. If they ever accept the dating system for the SKS beyond /26\ I might be game. I almost have enough Yugos.    Although the less the gvt. knows about my guns the better...that notion kind of has me over a barrel on whether to get one.

I also fear it opening the door to other types of guns...the SKS is still plenty interesting to me. I haven't even gotten into AKs for fear of opening that can o' worms.

Can I see your registration and License ? Sure officer im going to reach for them now. Wo ho ho You have alot of guns there in the back. .. Yes sir, Just picked them all up from my FFl dealer sir.. May I ask what your so afraid of to own that many guns ? Yes sir, Im not afraid of a Damn thing sir ..
