The MAGA (Make America Great Again) AK Build Saga Begins

I dropped all my parts off to Troy Sellars today.  It was the first time I'd ever met him but he was super nice.

In case anyone is curious if I use magpul gen m3 ak mags or any other us made ak mags the us parts count is 15. If i use my circle ten mags or any other foreign mags with us follower and floor plates the parts count is 13.


Troy said it'd be 6-8 weeks on the build. Although he did state that he was building more akm's in 3-4 weeks and would go ahead and do mine at that time so it may be less than 6-8 weeks.


I will post pics once it comes in.

The only reason I went with the forged romanian bolt and bolt carrier is because the only other us made forged bolt and forged bolt carriers are from PSA and they are junk.


I bought this part kit and sold off the parts I didn't want to use and made some of my money back on it.

When Obama was elected the US took a decidedly turn down.

Magpul od green kg gunkote over park on the ferrous metal.  Kg gun kote over nitride on the barrel, kg gun kote over aluminum on the buffer tube.

Only thing is after nearly 300 rounds through it is bump firing.

Yeah I know how to shoot an ak.  Been shooting them for years.  I reckon the set screws on the red star arms trigger were not loctited by dude that built it.

I have he didn't loctite the set screws on the adjustable trigger.  He's gonna fix it the first weekend I have off and can drive the 200 miles to have him fix it.
