Actually found this on Ebay the other day. It appears to be an M59 Spotter stock. The handguard came with it. I asked the gentleman who sold it to me if he still had the barreled action, but he had already sold it. I have looked far and long for this unique butt pad, and other than ones attached to a full rifle, I haven't seen any.
I'm thinking about finding a project 59 or 59/66a, but we'll see. The stock is absolutely soaked in cosmo.....I think I will leave it that way for now.

It does have the hole....I'll post a better pic shortly

Shezamm!!! This thing has a couple of holes drilled in the butt.....the metal plate isn't there, but the trapdoor was and the cleaning kit spring......did I mention I love the smell of Yugo cosmo??

Please don't take the butt pad off of this stock. This is one of the sniper stocks. It needs to be reunited with a sniper rifle. If you feel the urge to separate these two please sell it to me.

Me too.....One rifle i wish I never got rid of....fer reals......and LC......we're ALL batshiz crazy.....

I think I can still get the gas tube and maybe some other components.....but the barreled receiver is gonzo....

No good Sir.....the Yugo extension on their DMR's were screw on.....metal butt-plate sandwiched in-between.

That buttstock pad/extension is most cool !! I love how it contours with the stock itself, it's a true proportional extension of the stock, unlike the ill-shaped (commonly seen) rubber extension I have on one. It seems like it should be intuitive and easy for aftermarket companies to replicate this, but I haven't seen it.

Yeah, I agree, although it looks like maybe 2-3 extra inches over a standard M59/66 with it's smaller rubber buttpad. Perhaps it has to do with the preferred placement of the scope and it's eye relief

Size matters in butts

Didn't these have and use different and varying manufactured scopes requiring different mountings depending on style used, I think P32 may be close, depending on the scope used, a longer eye relief could have been required for a particular type scope.

59 and counting...

I truly believe these butt pads were installed on the rifles they used to test the night vision scope on. Those scopes are mounted very high and far back. These rifles can benefit from such a long butt pad.
